april bancarotta, Owner & Licensed Master Esthetician
April Bancarotta is a Board-Certified Master Esthetician with 19 years of experience in the skincare industry. She began her healthcare career as a Medical Assistant in the Department of Cardiology at Lahey Clinic Hospital, where she spent over a decade caring for patients and developing a strong medical foundation.
Driven by her passion for skin health, April graduated from The Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics and Make-Up Artistry before expanding her education into Ayurvedic Medicine. She furthered her studies at the Aveda Institute in Soho, NY, focusing on ingredient science and developing expertise in skincare formulations and product efficacy.
To advance her clinical knowledge, April completed the Master Esthetics Program at Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, where she specialized in skin disorders, acne, rosacea, aging skin, and advanced treatment protocols. She has since worked alongside plastic surgeons and medical spas, combining results-driven treatments with a comprehensive understanding of skin health.
Today, April is the owner of Awaken Aesthetics and an Advanced Aesthetics Instructor at Stonhart Academy in Woburn, MA. She remains committed to continuing education and is an active member of the HydraFacial Community of Education and Training.
Her philosophy blends effective skincare treatments with relaxation and wellness, creating an experience that nurtures both skin health and overall well-being.
Outside of her career, April enjoys spending time with her husband, Pasquale, and their two children, Valentina and Nico.
April is First Aid/CPR/AED Certified through the American Red Cross and is a proud member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP), Aesthetic International Association (AIA), and National Coalition of Estheticians Association (NCEA).
